They looked great but let’s note that the Big East is officially out of the tourney now with no sweet 16 teams. A couple of their best teams were blown out. The Big East has had a strong run the last 2-3 years before this including Nova. Great job Purdue.

Yes, Auburn is good, but as Pearl admitted, they were "more lucky than good" just to win their game in Round 1. They had no business winning, fouling on a 3-pointer with under 2 seconds to play and leading by a pair. But luck came up big when #12 seed New Mexico State only made one of the three FTs, with the last one going in-and-out. And then Auburn fumbled the rebound out of bounds, giving NM State another chance to win, down 78-77. And then Auburn left a guy wide open in the corner for an uncontested three, but he missed that too. Auburn had no business even making the second round, but they did, in spite of themselves.
