So as a background my personal trainer who ran a really small gym also happened to train Austin, and has been telling me great things about him the past couple of years so I was sort of pulling for him and I’m admittedly biased.
But I thought he played great and was a clear upgrade at the position once he got called to duty. Exactly the great FB blocking we’ve come to rely on in recent years. Glad to see these type of success stories especially walkons who stick with the hard work for 4-5 years, don’t play much but don’t complain until late their senior years, and finally get to shine when given their shot.
Academic all-conference to boot. Exemplifies Iowa football at its finest.
