I wonder why Ava doesn't have many rebounds. 6 min/6 pts/0 rebounds. This isn't the first time this has happened. I really like Ava, but curious on this.

Per Kachine, UM routinely plays and started last night 5 guards. 6-3 Hobbs is listed as a guard & plays like one.

Reason why Ava needed to be on the floor. Michigan’s bigs were mostly non-consequential. And why AOG struggled. It’s probably also why their defense was better when she was off the floor because in order to play against five guards, they needed to play zone. AOG only played 7 minutes. Contrary to popular belief Jan has a pretty good grasp on who she believes needs to be on the floor at all times.

I need to add for those who have misunderstood. We typically play hard pressure man defense. But to leave Addie on the floor vs 5 guards we’d have had to play Zone & that’s not us and ADDIE ain’t no rim protector 🤪
