Awesome Gable shirt

I love supporting wrestling, but that’s a little tone deaf.

Using the phrase he said to Trump for fundraising. Perhaps you forget the heated conversation on here about his acceptance of the medal from Trump.

Even if most think it’s no big deal... some people will. And that has got to hurt fundraising efforts.

Well I think both sides (on here) can enjoy Gable's comment: Those who hate Trump (Arnold is one) think its funny and those who like Trump know its true. Trump can dream about taking Gable out but he better wake up and apologize haha.

Shut up. Go cry to in the vacuum twitter. They will love it.

Get a freaking grip. The statement had nothing to do with politics nor does the shirt. Tom Arnold is promoting it and he’s a Trump hater. He gets it. My god. You don’t.

Do you realize your stuck as far left as some are right? In this world there is no compromise, meaning all your left with is obtuse ideology.
Try reading some good objectionable history. Here is one you might like “Man of the House” Tip O’Neill, and yes, I am Republican.

WTH? There was nothing political or left about my post.

If the museum printed a fundraiser t-shirt with Hillary Clinton on it I’d say the exact same thing.

My point, for the third time, is if you’re trying to maximize fundraising for nonpolitical purposes you stay in the middle of the road and don’t alienate anyone.

Every lost potential donor is a lost donor... doesn’t matter whether I get it or not. Why risk it?

You’re over thinking it. You might enjoy the book.

I think Trump is one of the worst things to happen to our country in a long time...and I bought the t-shirt. This is all about an awesome quote from Dan Gable. As much he'd like it to be, not everything is about Trump. I'm certainly not gonna let that bologna blower bleed my support for the sport I love. My 2 cents.

What is being risked? It’s the perfect scenario. He met with Trump but also dropped a little burn on him. Dan Gable cementing that he’s a man of the people. It’s good stuff.

I think Trump was great for the country and I love the shirt. Gable hit him with a zinger.
Even after that though, the shirt has a message that most of us can relate to. A non wrestler would have no chance against a wrestler and we are kind of proud of that.

I think the message is great and only someone who wants to make everything about poolitics would object to it. I also think many others will buy it.

If we wait to do something that does not offend anyone, we will be waiting a long time to speak or make anything.

Also, I can't imagine a wrestling museum selling a shirt with Hilary's picture on it, so the point seems a bit of a stretch to be included in the conversation. Gable is relevant to wrestling.

This thread is just another example of how F’d our once great country is, when a T-shirt causes people to start acting this way.
I certainly agree that the constant pissing matches are tiresome and bad for the country. But far from convinced it is anything new. We just have 24/7 social media so we all see/hear/speak everything now. Hell, our 'once great country' had to fight a civil war because some didn't think black people should be treated as human beings. Even if 24/7, t-shirt pissing matches are nothing. Of course, I'd rather people quit drinking so much (cherry-picked) Kool-aid so they don't have to piss so much.

I don’t see that post in this thread. Where you pulling it from? Must come from another thread. And what does it have to do with the apolitical nature of the posts in this thread?
I think it's common sense that the only reason someone would try to point out that a shirt refers to something said to President Trump that was actually apolitical as a "potential" issue is because you have a problem with Trumps politics (more specifically the fact that Trump ran under a different "team" than the one said person has associated himself with, but I digress). This shirt should not be made into a political statement one way or the other. And to bring it up as one is disingenuous and a trick that is waaaaaaaaay played out. When doing this expect push back moving forward. 😁

See I took it completely the other way. I thought that people that liked Trump would have a problem with a shirt showing Gable kind of punking him.

I think Ping was pointing out that making a shirt with any political ties could alienate half of your potential donors. Not really a left or right thing. But I guess that’s the only way to see the world these days. Your team or mine.

Or.... perhaps I have experience in the fundraising world and was simply pointing out that anything political is typically a poor decision.

Anything can be twisted to be made political. Your reaction to this post is proof of that. Very very sad.
