You can speak to this, the internet has noted they didn't deploy any "slats or flaps" so it may have been hydraulic?
At this point Boeing deserves to go bankrupt and doesn't need any government bail out.

Yes. Has to be hydraulic. Haven’t dug much into it yet but you can drop gear manually so this makes me think for whatever reason they had no time to do so on final approach with something that caused full hydraulic loss. (Loss of both engines could cause that, preventing a go around to attempt at dropping the landing gear manually). Honestly this one right now is bewildering.

Damn. That was horrible. With where we are at with technology, we still do not have flight perfected. It’s very, very good. But when you see this, it sure isn’t perfectly safe yet.

2 engines I get but only 1 engine loss I have no clue why they didn’t go around and troubleshoot. We do single engine go arounds all the time in the sim.

That plane was coming in hot. I just hope it was a very quick ending for all on board. Just horrible.

I remember that. Probably 15-20 years ago during a winter storm and slid right through the barrier. I don’t believe there were any fatalities, though several car and truck drivers likely shit themselves.
