11 wins for the Big 10

5 wins for the Big 12.

B1G vs Big 12[/B]
2 2 # teams in Sweet 16
2 0 # teams in Elite 8
2 0 # teams in Final Four

11-5 5-7 NCAA Tournament record
.688 .417 NCAA Tourney Win Percentage[/B]
2 teams account for 8 of those wins. B10 is pretty strong at the top, but the other 11 teams are not so good.
Really???

Answer me this. Who is the best team Baylor beat this year (non-con or NCAA tourney) that is not a Big 12 team?

Hint... No one. So, Baylor beats no one and loses to lowly Illinois and then proceeds to run through the Big 12 and get a three seed and then lose to a 14 seed.

My point... Many of the BIG 12 teams were paper tigers that feasted on teams with RPI's in the 60-100 range and then beat up on each other.

I am sick and tired of Clone fans talking about how strong the BIG 12 is and they get their ass handed to them EVERY year when it matters the MOST.

Start playing well and stop running your mouths.
We did play well and were up by 30 at Carver. Be careful about calling anyone out when that is on the resume.
Yes, ISU beat Iowa. This is a Big 12 quality debate. You know what is on your resume?

Losses to South Carolina, Texas Tech, and UAB.

For the record, I think ISU had a good season and should be proud of it, honestly.

But, stop running your mouth about the BIG 12 when it had one of the worst showings in recent history for a power five conference. I can pick apart the non-conference too if you want. Baylor's best OOC win all year was Texas A&M. Oklahoma lost to freakin Creighton and Washington.

Yes, the Big Ten had some poor losses too. But, I'm not the one talking about how good the Big 12 is and how amazing it is. When you keep losing in the most important month of the year as a conference, year after year, it's time to stop running your mouth.

So many ways to slice it but there is no doubt Iowa State's conference schedule was twice as tough at Iowa's schedule in the Big 10. In fact when Iowa fans on this board were so down on the team midway through the season they were saying themselves how the last half of their conference schedule was weak which is the most truthful thing I have read on this board for a long time.

Hawk fans keep bringing up how Iowa State lost to 10th place @Texas Tech. Well the Cyclones had a horrible shooting day, it happens just like it happened when it should not have happened in their first game of the NCAA tournament. What is Iowa fans excuse for losing by 9 points to lowly Big 10 13th place Penn State in the first game of the Big 10 tournament. How many Big 10 tournament championships has Iowa won in the last 5 years. See how silly that sounds. Why does one team have to boast at the expense of another team which clearly had more superior wins than Iowa did. That road game at North Carolina only takes you so far. Iowa proved to be a better road team than they were a home team this year, good for them. See that doesn't hurt to give an opponent their due.

Neither Big 12 schools or the experts claimed that ISU had the best teams like Kentucky or Duke this season. The Big 12 and the experts did say however that the Big 12 by far had the highest percentage of very good teams than any of the other conferences.

Iowa only played 8 ranked teams this season winning 3 and losing 5.

Iowa State played 13 ranked teams this season winning 9 and losing 4. I think that speaks volumes of what they accomplished this season so these Iowa fans look silly in trying to prove otherwise just because they finally after 5 Fran years won one game in the NCAA tournament.

Hey Clonfangonna cry will the Directors Cup change how they award points for who they deem the better team based on your criteria?

Because until they do the Directors Cup says Iowa had a better basketball team than isu.

Ouch that sucks for clown fans. Just dose up and you will feel better.

LOL. Ok. First, a disclaimer: I think ISU had a better overall season than Iowa and obviously beat them head to head.

That being said, this is clone logic at its finest folks. ISU lost to TX Tech and UAB and its because "it happens" and when Iowa loses to PSU its Iowa fans making "excuses".

I played this role in another thread, man. Losing to a team you shouldn't does happen. It happened to Iowa. It happened to ISU. But, like it or not you are ultimately judged by March. Once again, the Big 12 failed miserably.

If the Texas Ten was so tough then why did they pee down their leg when the tourney started? SOS arguments tend to fall as hollow and not worth much when the so called best teams get embarrassed in the tourney.

But but but its not your super bowl. I like how isu fans preach this all year, yet over and over again, this is the only thing you guys bring up.

Why do we argue with these bastards on OUR board! The big 12 was/is highly overrated in both FB and BB!

Breaking into the upper division on the big 10 is a lot tougher than in the Big 12, that's for sure. Not to mention that Michigan and OSU weren't much of a factor like they typically are. There was really no one consistently good for ISU to displace as Kansas' #1 bitch.

Maybe the cast-offs will be better next year.

Still absolutely demolished your boys on their court without BDJ or McKay. And it's probably going to happen again in Hilton next year. Ouch.

If you go by those who plug it into the computer, the updated as of today RPI:

Rank Conference Rating
1 Big 12 0.580
2 ACC 0.568
3 Big East 0.566
4 Big Ten 0.564
5 Pac-12 0.555

Thanks for the continued confirmation of any game against lowly Iowa actually being isu's superbowl!
