Despite some posters thinking that Iowa is having a bad tournament, the team score going into the finals is 129 to 122.5 --- Iowa is only 6.5 pts. behind PSU. PSU definitely has not dominated or run away with the title, though many thought they would. True, PSU has a lot of finalists and aren't at risk of losing the team title, but we should be really happy with the Hawks' performance this weekend.

The way they call stalling against Spencer is so different than the 1 shot a match guys. Like the rules are different for the boring wrestlers

Won't get to see Spencer Lee wrestle for Iowa in person again makes me sad.
This. How is there a stall call in that match vs pretty much all the 174 pound matches I’ve watched. One shot per match in some of those 74 matchups

I loved his 3rd period ride even if he did get hit for dropping to the leg.
Anything that humbles RBY a bit is good in my book.
Can't remember the last time I saw him get ridden for an entire period against his will.

Not that it had any effect on the outcome of the match, but how does RBY not at least get a stall call on bottom in the 3rd? Honest question.
His initial move each time was to put his forehead on the floor and draw in the knees and elbows. You typically see guys get dinged if they spend too much time with their forehead on the mat just trying to not get turned rather than trying to escape.

Spencer Lee, so humble and classy. Nothing but respect to the young man. Really excited to see him and glory battle in a couple of weeks (I don't think any other 125# truly belongs on the mat with Lee this year)
I wouldn't mind picking up Nagao should he find his way to the portal.
