Some of these are pure MAGA getting owned at town halls, but, I heard a theory posed that some normal thinking, but chickenshit Republicans, are holding town halls in order to generate negative coverage. They won't open their mouths publicly against Trump, Musk, or Johnson, so they go take some lumps in public to send a message.

Notice how Chuck Grassley handles this heated period. He holds a virtual town hall with the Farmer's Union, where a moderator sanitizes and tees up some easy questions for 'ol Chuck. I'd be shocked if the questions weren't given to Chuck's staff before the event. But, if those checks don't start to clear his offices are going to get mobbed.
