Illinois-Rutgers will be a real battle. I believe both teams are, now, good basketball teams. I like us in Champaign, but it’s a coin toss.
I thought Tev Jones would be a star for you guys. Followed him in AAU and really liked his game. Is he still on the team?
He was suspended the first 8 games of the season....was suspended for 8 games last year as well.
Suspended to get academics in order. Not ineligible just needed to get better. Got back on track but missed the first 8 games. Hard for him to get back in the rotation now. Griffin has taken that spot and run with it. He is definitely a talented player.

Griffin hit some big shots down the stretch at Wisconsin. Wasn’t impressed with his defense though. His little bro (Duke bound) is a stud.
Agreed. Easily the toughest conference top to bottom in the country.
This could of been the year to make an upper level finish in the B1G if injuries didn’t decimate this roster. So frustrating to see the team play so well on both ends of the court early in the season, then a band aide brigade at Netra5hka the other night.
Getting into trouble is a pretty unfair way to characterize not being a great student. We’ve all known plenty of kids who haven’t excelled at school but were good kids, right?
There are no gimmies at all in this conference. Yes, the loss the other night stings, and was certainly there for the taking but everyone is going to have at least two of those on the ledger this year. Tough conference and we're too dinged up....not a good combo.

I'm characterizing him for getting into trouble outside of academics. There is a reason Chandler wasn't sad to see him go somewhere else to play.
It's almost easier to watch a team that just sucks than to know the potential is there if everyone was healthy.
