Or the refs.....No problem at all. It's only a problem if it's the play by play and color guys.
Did he openly criticize Iowa because of his Auburn bias?Look I get he went there, but this is a problem when you're supposedly an analyst.
Everything he said Iowa had to do in the second half to get back in the game was spot on. Webber did a good job also as color man. Be thankful you didn't have to listen to Dolph's replacement on the radio. That guy is God awful.Yes, Charles ‘the mouth that bores’ Barkley.
Funny, because I did listen to him and I was thankful to hear what was going on during the game instead of being :30 behind like Dolph usually is.Everything he said Iowa had to do in the second half to get back in the game was spot on. You mean like Jim Jackson doing the color on Iowa State-Ohio State? No problem at all. It's only a problem if it's the play by play and color guys.
It’s pretty simple for me. Play by play means tell me what is happening in real time. Albracht and the great majority of pbp announcers do that. That’s what I want and, unfortunately, Dolph can’t do that anymore, in football and basketball. With Dolph, you have to listen to the crowd noise to tell if something good or bad happened. I’m sure he’s a nice man and obviously beloved in the state, but he just isn’t very good at pbp.Funny you would say that because I was listening driving home. Albrecht complained about a foul called on the Hawks-said it should have gone the other way. Bobby shot him down. Explained the call and why the refs got it right. Albrecht doubled down with "the Hawks have not only been up against the Tennessee players today but all the elements."
As long as Bobby is on there, things are tolerable. Same with football and Ed.
I like the new guys delivery and style a lot better than Dolphin's. I wish they'd keep him long-term.Funny, because I did listen to him and I was thankful to hear what was going on during the game instead of being :30 behind like Dolph usually is.
BOOOOOOOOOLook I get he went there, but this is a problem when you're supposedly an analyst.

I was thinking the other day, is the there any more obvious candidate to do the color commentary on the Iowa Radio play by play than Settles when Bobby decides to call it a career?Jess Settles does the same on the Big Ten Network. No issues at all for people supporting their school
This. Its what makes college sports great. He’s a fan of his school. That is what-college b-ball should be about- good for him!
