Way back on Dec. 7, Ohio State destroyed Penn State 106-74 in Columbus. But the season wasn't over for Penn State. Instead, it is Ohio State that has slipped while Penn State has gone 11-2 since that annihilation in Columbus that was almost the same score as Iowa's disaster @ Purdue last night. In other words, that was one game. What happens next is all that matters, and Iowa should be encouraged by the PSU example. And not only did PSU soar after that embarrassment @ Columbus, it paid the Buckeyes back by blasting them 90-76 in State College a little over a month later.
Iowa still has plenty to play for, including a home finale next month against Purdue. This Hawkeye team knows it let itself down last night. I expect a great effort against Nebraska on Saturday and a whole different energy level on the road the rest of the way, including @ Indiana and Minnesota next week. Just remember PSU.
