Way back on Dec. 7, Ohio State destroyed Penn State 106-74 in Columbus. But the season wasn't over for Penn State. Instead, it is Ohio State that has slipped while Penn State has gone 11-2 since that annihilation in Columbus that was almost the same score as Iowa's disaster @ Purdue last night. In other words, that was one game. What happens next is all that matters, and Iowa should be encouraged by the PSU example. And not only did PSU soar after that embarrassment @ Columbus, it paid the Buckeyes back by blasting them 90-76 in State College a little over a month later.

Iowa still has plenty to play for, including a home finale next month against Purdue. This Hawkeye team knows it let itself down last night. I expect a great effort against Nebraska on Saturday and a whole different energy level on the road the rest of the way, including @ Indiana and Minnesota next week. Just remember PSU.

Of course.
I don't know who had that game before last night as a likely Iowa win anyway. Certainly not me.
So for those of us that already thought it was a likely loss the only thing to get over is how bad they looked. I'm over it.
On to the next game.
Take care of 'braska at home and the train is back on the track.

Last was an absolute turd of a performance. Our deficiencies as a team were kind of exposed.

That being said, which B10 team would've beat Purdue last night? Nobody would've. Purdue was playing with the force of God behind them.

Losses are only as bad as the performances that follow them. If we rout Nebraska, I will forget about last night.

I’m more shocked at how many thought we were going to beat Purdue in Mackey. How many times have we won there since Lute came aboard at Iowa? Did I see a wood shed beating? No, but I’m not shocked either.
