In watching the majority of the NCAA tournament games, it appears to me that the referees have called the games much differently than the regular season games. They are allowing a lot more physical style of play and allowing a lot more "things" to go uncalled. That being said, I think that's at least part of the reason the Michigan State and Wisconsin type of teams to be successful, They play a very physical type of game that really punishes the teams that are a more finesse style of play.
That's a point that I think Iowa needs to look at. When I was at the Iowa - MSU game this winter, it was very obvious that MSU was much more athletic and much stronger and more physical than we are. It appears that we need more time in the weight room!
