The tribune had an article saying he messed his back up diving into the endzone. Who had info on this?

He tweaked it on the dive in the endzone but looked fine in the second half.

So....Beathard's back (sorry)

C.J. Beathard will be back for his Senior year at Iowa.
He loves the Hawkeyes. You can take it to the bank.

He will be back. A healthy CJ, a bucket full of backs, solid receivers and an O line that HAD to develop depth this year is a very good combination.

I was actually going to start a thread on this. With all of his lower body ailments don't you think it would be a good idea for him to wear a little more padding?

I was thinking a little more along the lines of a girdle not necessarily the kind that we wore back in the day. But these kids nowadays wear hardly any protection around their hips and tail.

I thought it did look like he wore a bit more around the thighs this weekend. It looks like he had the wrap-around thigh pads

CJB will be back (no pun intended) next year because he will not have an NFL option what so ever. We all love CJB and I think he will get drafted, but I do not think he has the option to leave early. The player that should concern us is King. I know he stated he would return for his senior year and I hope to god this is the case. However, if he breaks school record for interceptions, leads nation in interceptions, gets 1st team all american, and is a 1st round lock I am not sure if he returns. Not to mention if we win Big Ten title and who knows after that.....I am not sure what else he would need to do at the college level. That being said he could stay because playing corner is not of big of a risk for injury as RB, OL, DL, LB, he also loves the Hawkeyes, he also seems a like a man of his word....but with all that being said I would not blame him either way

Kings draft status el have more to do with his 40 time and measurables than his on field purification. That's the way the NFL looks at dbacks. The good news is the shelf life of an NFL corner is long. Good corners play a Lott of years so there's no rush for king.

Great technique, instincts and understanding of the game makes up for the lack of "elite" speed. He's plenty fast enough by the way. I'm sure his measurables will be fine.

Someone posted that him getting his degree is a big goal of his. Though millions of dollars buys a lot of degrees, so who knows.
