I know many are thinking because of this offer we are out of the running for Oliver Martin.......However, is it possible we are looking at him as a TE in the future. I know we have done this in the past with players who played WR in HS and converted to TE in college (Chandler and Kittle come to mind). He is almost 6'4" and over 200 lbs already, runs well for his size but not blazing speed for a WR. We have some talented TE's on roster now, but being we have 3 on the field at times depth is essential. We lose Kittle this year and Wiesenski (SP) next year and with the transfer of Outsey that frees up a TE spot. In conclusion, I do not think this is any indication of Martin not coming to Iowa. I really do not think his low key personality matches up with Harbaugh at Michigan who appears to be the leader by experts and it may be down to Iowa and Michigan St IMO. Be awesome to get him!

Maybe so, however; I think he would be better served as a TE imo. As I said, I think he is fast for his size but appears to be a WR turned TE to me
I saw him and thought of a more athletic and quicker Hillyer.
But I certainly could see the possibility of moving to TE some day. Maybe Hillyer should have looked at that himself
