Ok, so next year

Honestly I couldn't care less what they have to say. They're going to sound positive regardless of the situation at hand as they should. Actions speak louder than words, and their actions suggest that they aren't exactly comfortable with what they have. I think most fans would agree with them
No worries we can agree to disagree. Their actions tell me that they don't intend to bring in a designated starter.

I wrote in another thread Lester seems excited about Jimmy Sullivan a guy who has legs and the skill set Lester wants. Think we will hear about him in the spring. Jackson Stratton may continue to develop and become a viable option as well. Don't know much about Brown but the QB room doesn't look as bleak IMO as many people imagine.
None of that makes any differrence if our coach makes all the decisions

We don't have any way of knowing if Kirk makes all the decisions. This season it did appear that Kirk wanted to stick with Cade. Kirk and Lester have worked together a season now and from reading public comments seem on the same page. They both talk about bringing in QBs to compete. I feel confident Lester will get the call to establish his QB rotation.

Didn’t we hear it was going to be Air Sullivan for the bowl game. Unleash the passing attack

And we threw the ball > 15 yards one time

130 pass yards
40 of which came on two passes

Every year it’s the same talk
Offense looks good!
Guys have improved !
We’ll use the WHOLE playbook this year!

And we’ll see the same 5 plays

To your point, I’d look at what positions they are recruiting in the portal, and that should tell you where they feel good about what is coming up.

Two positions that keep getting mentioned, that I think we must be looked good with young players are OL, and LB.

Positions they clearly want to supplement are QB, WR, and DB. Maybe still DL?

missouri did bring the #12 total defense and #18 scoring defense. 300 yards and 24 points isn't great but is pretty decent. the conversation really needs to focus on defense.

Linebacker will be fine. Harrell, Sharer, and Van Kekerix are solid. They have just been stuck behind two incredibly durable and talented guys.

And those three guys that redshirted…Weisskopf, Buffington, and Reis…could be something really special.

Defensive ends should be talented and deep.
Defensive tackle is a big concern. Defensive backs are a big concern.

As always, QB and WR are problems.
Offensive line will be a big question mark.
I think RB’s will be solid.
Seems like TE has slipped a little since LaPorta left.

Special teams should be among the best in the country.
I don't know how to judge the TEs.
Because of how pathetic the pass blocking from the OLine was, this year's TEs had to consistently stay on the LOS to block.
It's no secret why most games are decided by line play.

I think Kirk did the playcalling the first 2nd half.
Lester has been there long enough to call 2 halves.

The program is like a dead person being kept physically alive on life support. What's the point of pretending it's anything else? Fvck Ferentz. I don't give a damn anymore about Iowa football, as long as he's there.

You're still wrong, and too angry about something you claim not to watch anymore.

They don't need LBs. Phil Parker has said they are not looking for any to transfer in.

Next year's LBs will be RS Seniors who have waited longer than usual for their chance to start. If you want to kill a locker room, bring in a transfer LB.
Also, saying "they look average" is talking out of your ass, we haven't seen them outside of special teams and spot duty.

It's hard to take most of you seriously when you post nonsense like this.
I wasn't saying they look average individually numb nuts, I was saying as a whole the outlook looks average for next year because of the unknown.
