Woodbury ALWAYS plays physical. Toughest player in the Big.

I thought Ellingson played a good overall game today not just hitting 3's and not hard to see why Fran has him playing more even against this level of competition. Made some good hustle plays and plays smart basketball and doesn't do things to hurt you.
I hope it wouldn't take everybody playing three against one to say they played physical.
I felt Woody owned one of , if not the best, front courts in the nation. Also has the cuts and bruises to show for it.
Loved how confident he looked today, it's tough as an unproven shooter getting spot minutes like he is to remain confident. Once he got that first one to go down, he was really flying all over on both ends.

That has been overlooked on this board on how difficult it is to shoot well when you just aren't getting minutes. But his effort and hustle has been there all year. Also he doesn't turn the ball over when he's in there.

Exactly what I texted my buddy. Always under control and spreads the floor as a threat. Making shots makes it even better and I hope this gets him going.
Fran just seems to pushing all the right buttons at the right time. Ellington hadn't played very well the last couple games ,but is first off the bench today and plays well. Best defense I have seen him play. Good use of Uhl and Wagner around the post spots. Also rotated mike and Sapp real nice today. I liked the way he used Jok to bring the ball up court a couple times just to give th PG a breather for a trip or two.
Only negative was the Iowa crowd. Our fans continue to leave with 6-7 minutes and the aisles are full at the 4 minute timeout. This is a top 5 team and undefeated in conference play. Apparently they don't know the song In Heaven there is no beer so they have to leave early so they don't get embarrassed for not knowing the words. I am calling out every fan who leaves early!!!!

I get irritated at no shows who complain about crowd noise, because it was loud there today, when needed. But I am in complete agreement with criticizing those who leave before the game is over.to cut 10 minutes off their drive home. Absolutely no excuse. From the time I started my car to the Village Inn, it took me all of 12 minutes.
