Doesn't really matter. A laughing stock doesn’t sniff a conference title or end up in the top half of the conference. It's just a wildly inaccurate characterization. The NCAA Tourney aside.

Wanting change and agreeing that Iowa basketball has been a laughing stock for the last 10 years is not in any way the same thing.
I will believe he is gone when it happens. I have watched coaches return year after year at iowa with very average results, so............
Last 10 years may be stretching it because I remember some exciting seasons and great games. That said, the last two years our talent has declined and play is not good. I seldom watch anymore. FWIW, this is coming from a kid who listened to all the games on a radio when the Hawks weren't on TV. Disappointing for sure.
I grew up listening to Iowa basketball on the radio. Only had two TV stations. For some reason I still watch nearly every game.
This is kinda where I am as well. There's 2 or 3 times under KF, I thought, there is no way in hell he's back next year.

I’d occasionally pick up WHO in VA when IA was playing football or bball at night. Kinda cool to be honest with you. Now I won’t even turn it on in case I do pick up the bball games for the men.

IIRC they bought a hell of a lot of advertising on the Hawkeye radio network, so must have worked OK! 😊Me either which is why I asked.

I just wonder if this loss tonight is the "straw that breaks the camel's back", both for the team (player) and BG.
Do that whole stunt for the students, but still draw only a tiny crowd regardless and Iowa ultimately loses a winnable game that would have done WONDERS for their chances and peace-of-mind about BTT positioning.
That Washington game this weekend could be verrrry interesting ...... for mostly all the wrong reasons.
