Missed a majority of the 2019 season because of injury... had season-ending Tommy John surgery on March 12... went 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA in two appearances... left his final outing at Hawaii (2/23) because of injury.

2018 -- Went 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA in 16 appearances... had 21 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings... earned his first career victory, pitching a scoreless seventh inning in game two against No. 12 Oklahoma State (5/5)... struck out three... pitched a career-long 2 1/3 innings against Missouri (5/1)... tossed two shutout innings, allowing two hits and fanning a career-high four batters in the win over Milwaukee (4/25)... threw two shutout innings as he combined to post Iowa's first shutout against Northern Illinois (4/17)... tossed two shutout innings -- a career-high -- against Evansville (3/17), allowing one hit... made his Iowa debut against Ball State (2/24).

at World University Games (2017) -- Went 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two relief appearances... tossed two innings of shutout relief against Korea (8/26)... didn't surrender a hit and fanned two... also saw action in gold medal game against Japan (8/29).

High School -- 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game honorable-mention All-American... Perfect Game Central All-Region first-team honoree... 2016 Perfect Game High honorable mention... IHSBCA All-State "Super" Team selection as a senior... earned first-team all-state, all-district, and all-conference honors... went 8-1 with a 0.80 ERA in 11 appearances (10 starts)... had 84 strikeouts to 12 walks in 61 innings, allowing just 11 runs (seven earned)... held opposing hitters to a .156 average... led team to a runner-up finish at state in 2017 and to a conference title, finishing with a 36-9 record... played AAU baseball for the Iowa Sticks... seven-time named to the Honor Roll... high school coach was Mark Roering.

Personal -- Born Aug. 31, 1998... son of Steve and Patti Probst... has two siblings, Sarah and Matthew... majoring in business.
 
I remember seeing the fall scrimmage his true freshman year and I couldn't believe nobody was talking about it then. He was working 94 to 96 and hit 97 one time that I saw.

Hopefully he can put it all together and become a pitcher
