Best Apple Crisp Recipe

Damn you Swag!!!!!!! Haven't enjoyed it in years. I have to settle for Little Debbie Apple Pies with a quarter pound of melted Velveeta.

Wendy will see this thread today and give us the answers.

Yeah, but I don't really measure.

Slice a bunch of apples (I usually leave the peel on because I hate peeling apples). Toss with some lemon juice, sugar (not a lot, just enough for a light dusting), cinnamon, and a little flour. Put in a greased baking dish. In another bowl, mix together maybe a cup of oatmeal, maybe a cup of flour (most recipes call for more flour than oatmeal, which is fine, I just prefer more oatmeal), cinnamon, a little salt, maybe a half cup of brown sugar, and I usually add in some ground cloves and ginger (your tastes may vary). Cut in ~1.5 sticks of cold butter. I also like to add a couple handfuls of chopped pecans or walnuts. Spread on top of apples and bake in preheated 350 oven for maybe 45 minutes.

It's really hard to mess up apple crisp.

Oh, and if you want bacon in there, crumble some cooked bacon and mix it in with the topping.
