I added an R to his last name when I was a kid. That R made him sound like a mean mother ****er just waiting around to mess shit up. I was a strange kid. Not much has changed.
 
My son always laughed at Blewit the kicker from Pittsburgh. We always laughed when he'd miss a kick and blew it.

I remember when I first heard of Teemu Selanne. I'd never seen his name in print, just heard them mention him on Sportscenter or whatever. I could have sworn the kept saying him name was Tay Musalanne because his first and last names just kind of run into each other.
 
Certainly not an athlete, but I always found it remarkably pleasing that the guy most responsible for the growth of poker in the 21st century was named Chris Moneymaker.
 
The 1980 World Series Champion Phillies had some great names on it.
