Went in there to get a printer. Kind of a ghost town in there. I don't know how they stay in business. Used to be well stocked. Kind of an upscale better version of a radio shack minus all the resistors and wiring.
Actually was last night around 6:30. I drove South to the one in San Marcos Texas to get away from the Austin traffic. I admit San Marcos it's a smaller town... It's a college town but last two or three times I've been to Best Buy I was not impressed. It used to have everything ... Well everything as far as TVs and stereos and computers and all the accessories and a bunch of young hip sales people... Seems like it's gone way downhillIf you went in there at 4:00 on a Tuesday, yeah probably pretty empty.
Well the 19-year-old sales people are certainly woke... The first guy that came up to me said, " well I ain't exactly a printer expert..."You must have missed it - they went woke - and now they're nearly finished off.

Yeah once for his fake id driver's license and once for his grades transcriptHe’s probably used a printer twice in his life.
I certainly resemble this remarkonly boomers buy electronics in brick and mortars stores
This is really interesting.... Always heard we were going to be a paperless society but I tend to have more paper around since printers were invented... Cuz I'm kind of a hoarder. It's kind of interesting to think 14-year-olds don't print stuff.... I guess their whole world is in their phones. They give you the learner’s paper permit now.
I know my 14 year old has never printed anything ever.
They had a tremendous turnaround starting in 2013 and it continued until early 2021 when it fell back. It's up about 15% this year.It has but it’s been a decades long process. Friend of mine worked at their corp office in Minny but left about 10 years ago. Could see the writing on the wall. Another casualty of the internet.

I wonder if it's online salesThey had a tremendous turnaround starting in 2013 and it continued until early 2021 when it fell back. It's up about 15% this year.
Well I've got two different jobs where paper is pretty mandatory... One is a document delivery courier type deal and the other is insurance.... The insurance world is moving towards paperless that's for sure. But I have a hobby is messing with old BMX bikes so I print some of that stuff out too....old articles and old picturesI print lineups to post in the dugout for my little league teams other than that I don’t print anything either.
That and many other changes.I wonder if it's online sales
