Best Cover Of A Song

Joss Stone covering John Ellison’s Some Kind of Wonderful on her debut album title Soul Sessions. Song was made famous by Grand Funk Railroad. She is hot, hot, hot.

But Grand Funk Railroad's version was also a cover.

It was originally written by John Ellison and recorded by Soul Brothers Six.

My two standards are -
Little Wing - Derek and the Dominos
Turn,Turn, Turn - Byrds

But I love this one too.

Cash was actually DYING when he recorded that, and presumably hurting really bad. How does it not have enough feeling?

Well for one, presumably the song is about heroin addiction. Cash does not pull that off. I've always like the NIN version better but with the clips in the cash video it makes it more relative imo.

How do you know Cash wasn't addicted to pain killers at that point in his life?
