I don't think Signs or Tremors belong on the list - they intentionally have a sense of humor along with the horror and are a lot of fun.

We like Dante's Peak from that list though it plays out like the Perils of Pauline. Very good special effects.

Because, why would anyone feel guilty about watching Better Off Dead? It's the best teen comedy of the 1980s.
