Best Rock Drummer Ever?

Surprised no mention of Travis Barker. Not really my cup of tea but extremely talented.

Two of my favorite drummers are not really rock genre, though both had big influence on it.

Here is one most of you have never heard of Longineu W. Parson III. His dad is a word renowned jazz Trumpet player. Clip below is him wailing on a real small kit playing small club with dad’s band. Always impressed by his speed and different beats he got out of small set up vs those flashy guys who have ridiculous setups, as if the goal is how many different percussion instruments you can hit. He was the drummer for yellowcard and I was always impressed with his drumming speed wise.

good example of his solid yellowcard work.

Glad to see this thread resurrected. Upon further review, I prefer:

Alex Van Halen
John Bonham

Intensity is where it's at for me.

Benny Benjamin, who banged the drums on many of motown's hits.

Personally I really like Mick Fleetwood. And, of course, the drummer for TWGRnRB is essential to this thread, so Charlie Watts
John and Mick would be my top rhythm section.
