The constitution specifically states, "he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment."

What is the definition of an offense against the United States? I'm not a lawyer, how would you define this? Are any of these preemptive pardons legal?

I don't think this is going to turn out the way Old Joe wanted it to. It will be interesting to see how these pardons turn out and all the legal gymnastics that go with them. I have to think Trump is thrilled by these pardons to his family, fauci, and Milly. Now Trump has an immediate reason to investigate why they were given a pardon.
