Biden Says He’s Considering Pre-emptive Pardons for Potential Trump Targets

Oh my...

“I tried to make it clear that there was no need, and it was counterintuitive to go back and try to settle scores,” Mr. Biden said.

Bothsides Bins doesn't want to discuss how both sides do this type of similar shit? Weird.
Pre-emptive pardons? Both sides issue some questionable pardons. No argument.

Pre-emptive pardons is new territory. I bet Navarro and Bannon wish Trump had issued them ones.

Has there ever been an incoming administration that has threatened so many folks in the current administration or so many folks that were involved in different committees in congress? This is the type of shit that happens when a felon rapist gets elected to be POTUS.

You've gotta stop acting like these are normal times. Nothing is normal when it comes to Trump and his folks and what they will/won't do. I won't sit here and say "Yes Biden should issue whatever pre-emptive pardons he can!" but I also won't sit here and say that there's zero chance Trump and his bitches go after innocent people solely because they don't like them. Trump has threatened the entire Jan 6 committee that investigated him.

Hell, Kash Patel has a list longer than a teenage girl of people he doesn't like and wants revenge on. These are unprecedented times and you're acting like it's just a normal transition. This is what you wanted, and this is what you got. A ****ing shitshow and Trump isn't even in office yet.

Also, "questionable pardons" for Manafort, Stone, and Bannon is a ****ing hilarious way to put that. You're a moron if you think those are just "questionable" and not a way to keep their loyalty.

Anyways, once again, speaking with you about this stuff is pointless because you refuse to acknowledge your right wing bias.

So much this.

I remember the “lock her up” chants and nothing happening to Hillary.

Maybe trust the judicial system and not support issuing preemptive pardons. Sets a bad precedent.

How do you handle personal inner conflict? When faced with the realization that you made a poor choice, do you often find yourself digging your heels in even at the detriment of yourself and those around you?

This is rich coming from a guy that's totally fine having a convicted felon rapist running the country.

The Supreme Court has jazzed things up since Trump was last in office, and Trump has somehow surrounded himself with much worse people. This isn't going to be exactly like last time. And this is what you wanted. I've got my popcorn ready for it. It'll be a ride.

Bins can't see stupid shit unless it's a Democrat doing it. His issue here isn't the pre-emptive pardons, it's that a Dem may be the one doing it. However, he'll frame it as "a bad precedent" instead of "Democrat doing something I don't like."

Him calling Trump's pardons of Manafort, Stone, and Bannon "questionable" is a perfect example of his bias. He must downplay everything shitty the right does, and then make everything shitty the left does sound like a some sort of monumental problem.

It's an unfortunate situation that this even has to be considered. You could do nothing and hope Trump and his new crew of loyalists were just all talk or on the other side you could go the preemptive pardon route which would just further cement the MAGA faith based crew in terms of their victimhood, theories and all that.

I'd prefer no preemptive pardons, and hope there are some rich donors/funds that can fund the legal fees for the people who get caught up in whatever shenanigans Trump's team pursues.

There's no reason to believe any of Trump's enemies have actually committed any crimes, but even innocent people can rack up $10's even $100's of thousands in legal fees going through the process. The non-financial aspect, I guess that's just the cost of doing your job/being ethical in Trump world.

And lol @bothsides

The irony in this post is stunning

Translation = Mclovin is still suffering from extreme butt hurt over the election, thus always putting Trump down.

He pardoned ACTUAL FELONS.
Ehh, those were just questionable pardons for those felons that committed crimes for Trump and then got pardoned by Trump. Nothing to see there, it was a big nothing. Questionable at best, totally normal presidential behavior.

It's awesome that you fanboy for Trump because he didn't do something insane. He has a history of going after people. The fact that he didn't/couldn't isn't a badge of honor for you to pin to your lapel. To even have to consider this isn't normal.
Post your outrage here when a bunch of people from the House hearings get audited, or Florida's own Pam Bondi opens investigations into line prosecutors who did their job.

If you aren't a fanboy, you are doing a marvelous impression of one.
The threats and intimidation by the incoming president are unprecedented. They are what many of us warned about, an authoritarian leaning.
You'll be fine, though. It's just other people being threatened. It isn't like Vivek and Elon will get the nod to trim the fat veterans enjoy.

You're dancing around the subject of the thread and deflecting to TrumP. Very predictable.
Deflecting? The topic here is centered on Trump and his threats to use the full force of the justice department to punish people for no reason other than he is angry with them. Without Trump there is no consideration of preemptive pardons.

Yes let’s trust Donald Trump’s DoJ and judicial system. Maybe one day you’ll wake the hell up.
