Since we're almost done as far as the regular season what are thoughts concerning Garza being Big 10 POY? He continues to amaze. He's got two, sometimes three, on him and gets pummeled night in and night out and still gets his 24 points and almost 10 rebounds each game. I keep on thinking, this is the game where Garza will have an off night. He may have an off first half, but it is amazing what he's accomplished.

Garza has been punched in the face, clawed, and kicked in the nuts every game! With his body of work he is the Shoo-in.

Garza has to be a lock for that. An First team All American. Now National POY, I think he should, but those are often something midwestern players don't get nods for enough.

If Garza doesn't win it, what do you think he would have to do? 30 points and 15 rebounds a game? There's no way he wins. Iowa is Iowa and Mich. St. is, well, not Iowa. I hate it but that's how, and why, it'll go down.

I'd probably agree on the NPOY, but I think he does win the BIG POY. He's been getting plenty of hype all year from people in the BIG who have seen him all year, and understand full well what he's been facing to put up those numbers which haven't been seen in the conference for decades. Now the national media, who knows what they've been watching. There have been projections all year that didn't even have him in the top 5, so he's definetly fighting an uphill battle there......

He will be unanimous BTPOY This is as close to a sure thing as there is. Much deserved. As far as NPOY That is less certain but I think he gets that too. No one could really argue.
