JBo needs 22 Threes to tie the BIG record. If he averages 4 per game, Iowa would need to play in two BIG tourney games (Semis) and 3 NCAA tourney games (Sweet 16). Personally, I think he will do it. He is a fierce competitor. But, I'm slightly worried the quest could be a distraction in the NCAA tourney. I'm really hoping he lights up Wisconsin for 5 or 6, and then the first round BIG game for the same. Then he would only need to hit 2-3 per game, assuming there is no early round loss.

That would be awesome. Especially for a crappy player that only set the all time assist and 3 point records at Iowa.

I'm not at all worried about him chasing that at the detriment to his game or the team.

They could've easily put him back in at any point in the final 8-9 minutes or so, or however long it was after he went out, to tie the Iowa record (9 was the record, right?), but they chose the sporting path instead (because we're Iowa.....not Illinois ).

If there was ever a record that won’t last long it’s this one.

shooting 3’s is fast becoming a religion.

Pretty sure that he shot the last one (missed) because he saw the subs at the table and knew he wouldn't be going back in. Would have been pretty cool to do that on senior night, but staying on the bench was the right thing to do for multiple reasons.

Well said Evil, well said. You just don't see that type of shit from Iowa coaches. Don't care what some folks say, that type or play is bush league, and not worthy of the outstanding careers they have had. Ayo and especially Underwood SHOULD be ashamed of themselves, but I don't think its in them. Different strokes I guess...

Don't know about that. You still have to shoot a high percentage, and you have to stay around a lllllooonnnnggggg time, 4 1/2 seasons in Jbo case. (Will there be an asterick for the extra 10 games he played last season?).

You might stop and think about a record during a free throw. I sincerely doubt that he will give any thought whatsoever to a record during the course of a game. Up by 15 and coming out with 2 minutes to play, he may let one last one fly!

You are clearly completely unqualified to coach Illinois....
