Purdue is an early tourney exit waiting to happen.
MSU continues to out-hustle and out-play PU. Spartans lead 51-44 with 12 minutes to go. MSU handling Ivey and Edey very well. PU with FIFTEEN turnovers so far . . .
MSU crowd is bananas.
Is it enough to carry Sparty?
Starting to look like the Big Ten Champ will have 5 losses...bad luck that Iowa played PU and Illini so early and no wisky in Carver.

Marble for MSU just hooked Edey's arm and the ref called a foul on Edey. Totally blew that call.
Should've been an offensive foul on Ivey on the play before that.
This should give Iowa its 2nd Q1 win. Now just need for VA to get back to a Q1 rating.
Ikr? We’re definitely better than MSU right now, but as was pointed out in another thread, they are seen as a higher seed than us. Still games to play.
Tied in the B1G standings but Iowa won the head to head and has an overall better record, so the better seed in the B1G tournament, I believe, if Iowa finishes out well. MSU has a pretty tough row to hoe with a game at MI and OH State. Iowa does, too, but I like that Iowa has a relatively easier game against Northwestern on Monday before the travel to Ann Arbor, whereas MI has to play MSU at 7:30 Tuesday (it'll be knock down drag out) then Iowa at 8 2 days later. Iowa should be able to wear them out. I like Iowa's chances. And I'm hoping that the MI - MSU GAME goes into overtime with MI pulling out a squeaker.🙂
We aren't "desperate". But we could really use this game as a win. Hopefully they make some halftime adjustments
Refs setting this game up for yet another brouhaha in the HS line, again involving Wisconsin, by being their usual selves in letting it get very physical and testy.

Davidson got called on one of his BS moves. Simple blockout by Rutgers and Davidson flops kicking his legs out taking down the Rutgers player.
A Wisconsin win here helps Iowa, in terms of BTT seeding opportunities, but man do I hate that school's sports programs so effing much. So much.
Gard is such an ass that I don't think I would have minded if Howard had punched him. Gard gets what's coming to him for teaching dirty play, and Howard gets suspended for punching him. But Howard had to punch someone else. Doh!
