Did anything change from preseeds? Nothing jumped out at me, but I didn't look too hard.
Unlike usual, Penn State seemed to get a lot of byes instead of easy pins in the first round.

Nothing changed from the pre seeds.
Like you guys already said it's just about everything Iowa could have asked for given what we already knew. Penn State caught 2 byes (Joseph and McCutcheon) at weights where they were drawn in where as Iowa only caught 1 (Gilman). Even Holloway got the best possible first round match up for an unseeded guy.

A wrestler doesn't earn any advancement points for a bye unless he wins his next matchBummer in the summer.Like they need the easy extra points.
Jimmy Gulibon as the #2 seed at 141 with a 13-7 record is all you need to know about that weight. Yuck
And Christopher is wrestling this weekend instead of Topher at 141! Gonna be a good weekend.
Depends on how many spots are allocated for each weight. I believe if there are more than 9 NCAA allocated spots for the Big Ten in a weight, they seed to 14 and the 1 & 2s get a bye. If there are 8 or less allocated spots, they seed to 8 and draw the rest.

I am a bit nervous about 165. Gunther had a tough time first time around with Martin.
Martin is scrappy, took Rhoads to the wire last year too. Gunther got the second toughest draw he could get, maybe only Sebastian being tougher. Joe needs to be ready to roll.
