Kale Peterson Saturday please.
I am thinking Gabe and Kennedy need to wrestle off for 74 and Nelson needs to move up to 84. Gabe is so talented and athletic but it gets diminished because he is small for the weight. I think Ferrari is too small for 84 this year as well. Next year he will be perfect. Nelson is the biggest of the 3 (Kennedy/Arnold and Nelson) and has the best defense.

74: Arnold/Kennedy wrestle off
84: Nelson

And yes, Peterson needs to go 25. Time will tell if Drake is too small for 33.

Everyone likes to blast Iowa for training too hard and having so many preseason injuries. I think they have really dialed it back this year and are training smarter.

Iowa State has had a tough year — Batista, Chittum, Swiderski and now Paniro. That hurts and really takes away from what would have been a fun dual meet
Maybe ISU spent too much time partying at Okoboji this summer and got back to campus out of shape?

Rathjen over Karl Voino 4-3....put on the skates at the end and got called for fleeing the mat; reached out and grabbed the edge of the mat cause KV was close to scoring. K V looked good for a true freshman.
KV has a tremendously bright future. He is going to be fun to watch. Oh and a kid named AJ is going to be pretty damn good to

It wasn't competitive at all. The 5 points were all escapes. Angelo dominated in every position
Yeah, I was being too generous in calling it “pretty competitive “. It wasn’t your typical Spencer first period tech fall blowout and was “only” a major decision until late in the match.

Yeah and rathjen beat Arrington, Fernandez, Lamer. Lol those results dont mean much

Though I agree with questioning freestyle results, we know Rathjen is +/- the level of those guys already. It is a bit more noteworthy that a true freshman (and non-elite recruit) that we don't know much about has generated these results. Doesn't mean he will be a star, but interesting data points nonetheless.
