That windmill dunk by George Washington player against Maryland. 😳

Not sure if GW is good or if Maryland isn't great.

Thanks for the update. I have seen full or partial games of all B1G teams and it seems that other than Purdue, MSU and OSU, and maybe IL, there doesn't seem to be a lot of separation. IL has been without a couple of key guys including Kofi until recently, so TBD.

Lots of positives from the VA game, but I didn't realize Iowa only had 4 turnovers until I listened to the postgame interviews with the players. That is impressive against any opponent, but especially a defensive-minded team like VA. Purdue is going to be a major test, so not sure what to expect, but if Iowa can limit turnovers, avoid the dreaded prolonged FG droughts and get good bench minutes from Perkins, Sandfort, and Kris, they should be able to hang with the rest of the pack. The wild cards are Iowa's zone, which VA broke down with relative ease in the second half, and how they respond to ball pressure when teams crank up the D.

The challenge Fran will face is having the stones to recognize match-up problems sooner and adjust the lineup and stick with what is working vs. going with his standard PT allocation. I have been critical of this in the past but will give Fran credit this year for his rotations. Iowa is going to have a tough time dealing with the size and athleticism other teams have. It would be nice to expect some level of contributions from Josh and/or Mulvey, but doesn't appear to be in the cards this year. Josh may get pressed into service tomorrow just to have a big body for Edey to contend with.

Big Ten wins the challenge 8-6 AND lost 4 games in OT. Win half of those and it would have been a resounding 10-4 mark. Not too shabby.

The Tuesday 1/11 game between Nebraska and Illinois looks like an impending massacre. Hoiberg is now 5-38 in league play (0-5 this year) with two last place finishes. He finsished 40 games under .500 coaching the Bulls. Its looking more and more like his success at Iowa State should be credited to Otzelberger.

But you'll still be my friends, right?
