Calliendo has muscle definition but he is not an especially big 165.
Kasak may not see the mat in regular competition for a couple of years. Think about it. At least for Penn State.
Caliendo and Moore are letting it fly. Caliendo finally gets another TD with 4 seconds left and it’s 6-1 going to 2.
Caliendo goes down and is out quick. 7-1. Caliendo with another TD and it’s 10-1. Kennedy and Welsh starting now.
Amine beats Taylor in tiebreakers. Caliendo looking at a rematch with Amine after he wins his match.
Moore with an escape and it’s 10-2. Caliendo with 1:28 RT. Caliendo gets a point for Moore’s second stalling call. 11-2. End of 2. Moore goes down.
The two refs should get together and if they both call it the same, then no review. Make the teams use their brick.
They shouldn’t be saying, well let’s make sure. Isn’t it that simple?
Moore escapes. 11-3. 2:18 of RT and Caliendo with another TD and release. 14-4. Welsh and Kennedy just brawling and Welsh needs blood time again. Caliendo wins 18-5
Welsh chooses down to start the 2nd. Escape after 16 seconds. 1-0. Kennedy in on a single but Welsh does the splits and back foot goes off the mat. Need wider mats.
Kennedy pressing forward and dictating pace. Welsh is very good defensively. Welsh consistently backing to the edge and then circling in. 1-0 end of 2. Kennedy goes down.
Welsh in on a single and elevates and he finishes for the win 4-1. It’s like a broken record. Our guys can’t finish and other finish on us when it’s pretty evenly matched opponents.
Exactly, Kennedy was in sitting in great position to finish but just sat there and lost it. Their guy kept moving and got the finish. Bad loss there.
The sport is dying before our eyes. Entertainment value drops by the year. Reffing is God damned joke, NIL, portal. Disgusting.
New day same results, can’t finish shots, scrambling is an issue, and can’t beat psu.
This WB round has been awful. Did they hand out a bag full of bricks before the round started?
Too many challenges and they take too damn long! FIX THIS NOW!
The fact there separate refs are making these calls and it’s still taking forever is annoying. 3 challenges all weekend but dam it seems every team has an endless supply. If a coach bitches enough to make the ref go look that’s a challenge, too many refs get coerced into “ref reviews”
Weird stuff happens in tournaments and WB rounds. He's still an undersized 74 FWIW
Kennedy is a permanent R12 type guy. He might have a good tournament and place 7/8 once if he is given 4 tries at it. After NCAAs it SHOULD be clear that we need to stop forcing him into the lineup.
I think him making the podium is gonna consist mainly on a perfect seed and matchups.
Every. Single. Year. At bigs and nattys you guys are always, somehow caught off guard by these results. HOW!?
Agreed. He’s very matchup dependent because he’s not very athletic. He will always struggle to takedown guys that can hand fight and have some quick twitch.
Very likely won't be in the lineup next year so we can find a different whipping boy.
Slav rides him out. 1:21 of RT going to the 3rd. Slav has a stall call against him. Hill wisely chooses neutral.
You see this is what's cool about the 1st amendment. You are allowed to just say stupid shit like this, and it's totally legal and free.
Not about finding a whipping boy, it’s simply the truth. We have a couple other guys in our lineup that have similar limitations. People just expect Kennedy to be a world beater and he isn’t. Not hating on him at all.
He’s Max Murin and that’s fine. Really good guy to have. He just can’t be one of your best guys if you want to field a contending team.
