Big Tens

They need to tell Cleveland they won’t be back until they do something about their scalpers.

Hmm Detroit, I’ve never been there. I was planning on going to STL already. I thought I read 2023 has been announced.
I believe they’re waiting until after Minny to announce. They want feedback on the football stadium to see if it’s a viable option for the future. Wouldn’t be in one every year but want to see if it’s worth going back.

I thought they said it would be back to smaller venues. Then possibly back and forth.

It is generally in a unique setting with an upcoming Olympic year per the NCAA wrestling folks. MSG last time. US Bank this time. If this is successful, I wouldn't be shocked to see it go to a football venue in 2024. My guess would be they wouldn't try a football venue unless it has been in the Final Four Basketball rotation in the past. I wonder if Lucas Oil could do it. Great sports town.

Don't they go in alphabetical order for host and since Rutgers is hosting this year, wouldnt that make Wisconsin next? could be wrong though.
Michigan St was 2 years was ago .Minnesota last year.Rutgers was thrown in. Then its supposed to go back to alphabetical order from 2019 MN is my understanding.Which would mean Nebraska has it

The rotation is (since 1988 championships @ Michigan):

Michigan (88, 99, 10)
Purdue (89, 00, 12)
Northwestern (90, 01, 11)
Illinois (91, 02, 13)
Wisconsin (92, 03, 14)
Ohio State (93, 04, 15)
Iowa (94, 05, 16)
Indiana (95, 06, 17)
Michigan State (96, 07, 18)
Minnesota (97, 08, 19)
Rutgers (20)
Penn State (98, 09, 21?)
[Nebraska] (22?)

--Purdue and Northwestern swapped positions the last time through; not sure whether this was a one-time thing or a permanent change.
--Nebraska joined the conference beginning with the 2011-12 season, but has not yet been placed in rotation.
--Rutgers and Maryland joined beginning with the 2014-15 season. Rutgers has been placed in rotation (between Minnesota and Penn State). Maryland has not.

So, 2021 championships will either be Penn State (next up in rotation), Nebraska, or Maryland.

FWIW, there's a thread on BWI speculating that 2021 will be Penn State, with Nebraska slotting into the rotation as the 2022 host.

Purdue / Northwestern swap was due to Mackey Arena being under renovation if recall correctly.
