with OT Blaise Andries ...although I see Iowa didn't offer. I'm actually pretty excited about that, given Capt Kirk's reputation at developing O Linemen.

Chose us over Mich St, Oklahoma, TCU, Florida, Nebraska, Oregon & Arkansas.

Please stay away, Hawkeyes. TIA.

Thought you might get shutout in recruiting this year, but Andries is a good start.

Doesn't really matter up there with the coaching staff's inability at Minnesota to develop linemen.

I have a gopher buddy very excited about this one too? Those are nice offers but he's ranked like 330 nationally and a 3 star from what I can see!? Not sure that's post on an unrelated teams message board worthy..

What's this have to do with Iowa? He's not from Iowa and Iowa didn't offer.
because not all fans from other teams are trolls

as for IA staying away I don't think IA will offer as of right not they have the 2 best instate OL in Wirffs and Kallenberg committec and are recruiting a OL out of NJ and another instate OL Dykstra, either one woud make this a solid OL class for the Hawks, as it will be a class of 16-17 players so the coaches can be very selective in not who they will recruit but who they will take,

hmm Scherff was a 3* and Reiff was a 3* DE so not sure what your point is.

Based on offers there 7 or 8 schools I'd choose over UM. There is something about playing for the home team and in front of the family. Good for him.

All bark no bite, I mean it's the French. They are like the little brother that knows he's backed by his 2 brothers that are the biggest on the block.

Sorry, can't let this kind of ignorant stereotyping go without comment. All bark, no bite? Today's French special police forces--examples being the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group and the Research Assistance Intervention Dissuasion, are considered among the world's elite--tactically strong, disciplined, highly trained, well-resourced. Walking back the calendar a bit, please tell us who our most important ally was during the American Revolutionary War.

Just because you leave a "6 star" doesn't mean you started as one :)

OP-Congrats on getting your in state lineman with no other power 5 teams in your state for competition, quite the accomplishment ;)

BTW the cubs are now 5-1....GO CUBBIES!!!

They didn't surrender in world war 1 they actually provided they biggest miltary strength to fight the central powers... They have also help America in the Korean, gulf and the war on terror.. Just because they don't join every war doesn't mean they are a weak country..

To quote General George S. Patton.... "I'd rather have a German Division in front of me than a French one behind."

For the record, Patton also wrote anti-Semitic statements in his diary ("lower than animals") and treated Jews badly in the former concentration camps.

Dumbest thing I've ever heard.. Your level of stupid is something that can't be comprehended
Like being a cardinal fan yet cheering for the Cubs because they are in same division....makes no sense...just means the Prozac is doing what it's supposed to...so congrats on that gilligan.

To the OP: If this isn't about IOWA recruiting, then most of us D.G.A.S!
To everyone else discussing France and their military:My god get a life! When did this become a political discussion? Keep that crap out of a sports discussion thread.

You and your bold font need to take a lap and possibly sit this next one out.

You know, every time I come to the Hawkeye forum, and I see the topic headline "Big time OL get for the Gophers", I have to laugh. First of all, they have one commit, so I guess any commit would be BIG TIME at this stage. Secondly, Would not this topic be more appropriate on the Gopher board, or has Dano been shunned by his own and seeks refuge here? :) I know he comes here just to be a thorn, but you have to have some relevance first before you can become a thorn in someone's side. Poor Dano, the little engine that could.........Or thought he could........whatever.....LOL

Sauver des vies au mepris de la sienna. May I ask what your knowledge of the former GSIGN or more commonly known now as the GIGN is. You speak on authority as if you have knowledge of or have trained with the GIGN claiming they "are considered among the world's elite." I will agree strongly that France is our oldest and longest standing ally and a country who still views Americans favorably. I have a great respect for the Kampfschwimmer/3402.
