Big10 Predictions/ Top 25 Predicitions

Thanks. Would you like a link to my family reunion blog and youtube channel showing my cat playing the piano?

So Iowa is one of your top 5 "surprise teams" of 2016 after going 12-0 last year, yet you have them going 10-2 and playing in the Pinstripe Bowl this season? That makes sense.

Surprise as in, no one would expect for the to have a repeat of what they did last year. But they could. This year with the schedule being more difficult I don't know if they can repeat it but can get some surprise victories. Last season schedule was weak.

This is like people ringing my doorbell.

Go away, shoo! You'll not collect a click from me!!!

I love reading these, and appreciate it.

I'm not sure what game would be a surprise for Iowa to win? I would be surprised if they went 12-0 again, but they could be the favorite in practically every game?

No one will be surprised if Iowa goes 10-2.

Nothing in there is all that unreasonable with one notable exception.

Tommy Armstrong will not even be 3rd team all Big Ten, let alone the offensive player of the year. With that offensive line and his poor decision-making, he will be lucky to be standing upright by week six.

I agree. I haven't seen anything from Armstrong to make me believe that he will be anything but Tommy "The Turnover" Armstrong, again, this year. I can't believe anybody, but a Nebraska fan, would make those predictions.

Living in Western Iowa, I listen to the ESPN-affiliated A.M. 590 out of Omaha. They have been playing a sound byte of Gerry Dinardo talking about Tommy Armstrong. They ask him what to expect of Armstrong. His response, and this is my paraphrase: "You have to tell me what kind of offense they are going to run, and then I can tell you my expectations of him. If they run a balanced offense, my expectations for him are not high."

I take that to mean that he would like Armstrong better in a heavy running attack, than in Riley's offense where they are still trying to make him into a good conventional passer.

I do have to say, though, that the predictions of Nebraska winning the west, and Tommy Armstrong as the offensive player of the year, seem entirely more reasonable than Herbstreit's pick of Minnesota to win the west.

I did this fun ha. I know nothing about the big 10. I believe that Iowa could be in for another good season. But MSU,MU,and OSU are the teams to beat in the league.

You aren't going out on a limb with taking tosu, scUM, and msu. They are the best of the league.

Iowa has a good shot at a 10+ win season, which would be trend bucking for them coming off last year's surprise stellar campaign(with the exception of the Rose Bowl debacle). The Hawks have been known to fall on their faces when expectations are up.
Will the go unbeaten in the regular season again? Highly unlikely.
