No doubt it’s 133, and I’m not sure our prospects looks great in the immediate future either. Hopefully Kale Peterson proves all the wrestling recruitment rankings guys wrong.
197. Teske has a better chance to make podium than Kolby .

No doubt? 133 thinned out a bit and Teske sits squarely in that 9-15 range, along with Sean Carter, Chance Rich, Brayden Palmer, Chris Cannon, Dom Zaccone and Nic Bouzakis to start the season. You don't think he could beat #7 Michael Colaiocco or #8 Connor McGonagle to AA?
I am not saying Teske is a likely AA, but he is way more likely to AA than Franklin at 197 or even Assad at 184...Hell, he is nearly as likely to AA as Voinovich at 149 or even whomever Iowa puts out at 165, considering how ridiculous that weight is. Remember, he has made the R12 and R16 and has won matches at all 3 NCAA's he has attended...

I’m sticking with my opinion. 1-10 at 133 are very good wrestlers. Teske is right at the end of that tier.
184- call me crazy but I believe Abe hasn’t been healthy most of his time here. If he stays healthy he’s a low end AA.
197- I don’t think it will be Kolby. If it is then I’d change my answer to 197z

I just think that 149 is a little less crowded. Plus VV is in the Iowa room Where I do expect a jump to be made. I’m worried about his somewhat limited offensive game, which is why I’m rooting for Rathjen, but his D and his top game are legit.

Well that takes out half of the hyperbolic fun. My question speaks to looking at our roster, plugging guys in where we think they might go, and then predicting where we will struggle the most. I think 133 will be the toughest. I’m fairly certain that Teske will be our guy. Arujau, Fix, Nagao, Latona, Orine , Byrd and Chris Cannon all return as AAs.
197 is absolutely loaded as well with Brooks, Sloan, Elam, Buchanan, Hidlay, Beard, Hoffman, Cardenas and Poznanski all returning as AAs. If Franklin is our guy, I don’t like our chances, but if a certain someone who likely smells of patchouli oil ends up in the mix, things get real interesting.
But…. we like our guys. They are all future AA’s until proven otherwise in March. (Rinse and repeat.)
I agree with you 133 would be my pick as toughest weight to AA if we have a Miracle at 197.
With the possibility of suspension and the fluidness of our lineup it’s virtually impossible to make a prediction at all but two weight classes
141 and 157 and I say we AA at both of these weights.

So a guy who's been round of 12 & round of 16 at the NCAAs multiple times is "no doubt" a bigger hole than one manned by the likes of Kolby Franklin? I like your confidence in Franklin but I'm having trouble with that reconciliation.

97 is the biggest hole as of right now. Could turn into our 2nd strongest weight, time will tell. 133 is probably 2nd weakest weight, do to depth at the weight.
Neither of these weights are even settled for the starting spot. Would not surprise me if Schriever won the spot. He had a pretty good off season.
