Bill Farrell tournament

Damn...what Cael can do in three months with such mediocre talent.

It does not take long for Carl's magic to improve a wrestler's abilities. Even our wrestler's seem to get much better than their HS rankings would indicate (Gilman, Clark, Sorensen, etc.) - and I am assuming that it is just because they spend a few hours in the same arena as Carl during meets each year. Just think how good they could be if they spent more time with him. Mind boggling.

Is this something the generation of participate trophies and free snacks says? Cause I have no idea what it means.

You do not know how I would react to anything. Go back and cry on ur board. Or you can go join some protesters, hear there is a lot of good crying going on there.

You're fiesty today ed. I bet half the people crying out there didn't even vote. I do like me some free snacks though.

Kind of a mixed showings from Arizona State; JO looked unstoppable, while Garrett looked vulnerable. Although he will get a chance to redeem himself in the upcoming matches.

I have to admit that I am not overly impressed with the Sunkist kids training at ASU. Are my expectations too high? Maybe I am letting the results of Ed Ruth make too big of an impact on my thinking.

I think Garrett will be a better metric to gauge. He was obviously a stud in college, but with his lack of freestyle experience, it will be interesting to see what Zeke can do with him. JO was no doubt a stud in college as well, however, its hard to tell where his head is at with the potential of MMA amongst other things. I think his successful but up and down international career would attest to that.

And N. Lee is a high school senior. Waters was a former undefeated #1 seed at NCAAs. No one is saying he's Spencer Lee but give credit where credit is due.
I will give credit because its a good win but to be fair, Lee is not a high school wrestler. I believe he's the age of a typical college freshman and has been training at PSU. The only thing he has in common with most high school seniors is not having a diploma yet which does not have an impact on wrestling.

*I like Lee's wrestling. He has always shoot like a machine gun and today he showed willingness/effectiveness going upper body with throws. Gonna be a better Cory Brewer.

I felt that Ed had mentally checked out of wrestling, and that is what actually led to him leaving the NLWC. I have no proof of that, but his interest level while still at the NLWC seemed to wane prior to his departure. His results at Sunkist were not a surprise to me, only a disappointment that he was checking out. I don't blame Sunkist whatsoever.
