Bill Self Mic'd up Comment to Moss

Self was talking to the team during the media timeout and told the team "they need to get their noses dirty". Then he looks at Moss and says "I mean, I haven't seen you get your nose dirty all year". Damn that's brutal to say that in front of the whole team but he isn't lying
He obviously hasn’t followed Moss’ career.

I know, I know but I couldn’t help myself.

He’s not wrong, but I’m happy that Moss has carved himself out a pretty decent roll at Kansas considering it looks more and more like he left Iowa because he wouldn’t get minutes.

Moss had previously dove on the ground before the comment. Moss also hit a three later on. I guess Self thought he could turn Isaiah into a more aggressive player because he is the exact same guy that played at Iowa for three years.

Moss just took & missed a bad 3 point shot right before half.

He followed that up with terrible defense that left his man wide open for a 3 at the buzzer to give Texas the lead.

I just tuned into this game & that’s what I’ve seen so far.

Moss is getting minutes on a team that William Hill gives the best odds to win the National Title at 9 to 1. I think he is ok with his choice so far.

Just to note....Iowa has 40 to 1 odds.

Their game last night consisted of 48 made FGs and only 10 total assists between both teams. Wow

Iowa could beat KU. Man, I hope they can play into a good seed for their best shot to make a deep run. All about seeding.

It's funny that Self is calling Moss out. If you want him to get tougher, maybe coach and draw up a few plays for him to do so rather than have him sit in the corner and wait for spot up 3s.

Genius coach I tell ya.

That is what he is on the team to do - spot up and wait to shoot 3's. That is exactly why they put him out there. Iowa and Kansas obviously would love it if he could do more than that. But he can't. He is a one trick pony (for the most part). He can't dribble or create and his defense is erratic and mediocre at best. He also makes bad decisions and disappears often against tough teams and in tough situations.

Self has 18 regular season conference championships. 9 conference tournament championships. 3 Final Fours.

Yet some internet yahoos think they know better.

Not saying they will do it, but William Hill has them as the current favorite.

I think people need to quit bashing Moss. It appears he is in a good situation and Iowa isnt exactly missing him. Win/win

I don't see much bashing of Moss at all, I'm good with what happened and our roster now but have no ill will towards him and not really sensing that at all here. Who cares about KU, Go Hawks!

I have no idea. What do you think? Neither Illinois or Tulsa went on probation when he was there or immediately after did they?

‘That would only mean he was CAUGHT cheating. I don’t think they all of sudden later in their career start cheating. I believe it can start out pretty small but snowball on them. Nobody really watching you at Tulsa either.
