Bill Self Mic'd up Comment to Moss

The game always looks like it’s moving too fast for Moss. I went to a Kansas game and have watched several others, really rooting for Isaiah. He seems like a great guy, dad seems great. He looks like he’s thinking so hard out there, that the game requires far too much thought. Doesn’t look easy or natural. He has physical talent, though. Give him CJ’s feel for the game and you would have a real stud baller.

681-213 coaching record for Self. I’d say there might be a few schools that might take him as their coach.

I have to question what coaches really see when they look at someone like Moss play basketball?.....he always has been a player that is content to stand flat-footed whether on offense or defense and watch the game until he sees an opportunity to launch a 3-pointer....which he is good at...not great scorer though....cannot create anything inside (which is a lot like many players these days that have been taught that style of play all their life).

So if Self given a moment of clarity...when things aren't going well for his team, finally takes notice of Moss's lack of basketball all-around play?....then he's not much of a coach...just a guy that manages a team that usually can beat most teams because of having more star-power...not better coaching.

I for one have said before....glad Moss sought other opportunities....I'll take CJ any day over Moss.

KU took Moss because they desperately needed 3 pt shooting. It’s what will probably keep them from winning the championship this year in my opinion. KU was short handed at shooting guard and took a chance. Pretty sure they knew what they were getting.

Watching Kansas run their half-court offense drives me crazy. There is a lot of one on one drive's and very little offense being run. When their big man is in they will attempt to pass it to him but otherwise its usually a few handoffs at the top of the key and then someone attempts to drive the ball. Usually Moss is sitting in the corner the whole time waiting for the kick out pass if his defender moves to help defend the driver, which in I have actually yet to see that happen.

Moss sucks at the corner 3, he is much more effective when he gets the ball on the right side at the 45 degree angle.

‘Honest question. Do you think the cheating started a KS. and he ran clean programs up to KS?
I believe the "pressure" to win is so much greater now at KU then in his past gigs. A lot of the cheating doesn't start with the coaches. I think they are approached by shoe companies, agents, and various ner do wells, and sometimes it looks so easy. And lets face it, the NCAA has a pretty damn weak history of either catching, punishing, or even wanting to punish the member schools, who they are of course part of. Its like why not bend the rules.....
