Bird flu transferred to cats

It would be somewhere between Captain Trips from The Stand and COVID-19. It's a coin toss if it will kill you are not if you get it.
Depends on the mutation if/when it crosses over to being more contagious in humans.
Don’t remember exactly what virus outbreak there was in the MidEast but its lethal rate was crazy high. Fortunately the contagious rate was crazy low though.

It's not a helpful mutation if you kill the host before it can spread to other hosts.

Birds finally getting their revenge!

You’re asking farmers to continue caring for livestock that could destroy the rest of their assets. Most likely not covered by insurance under the current system.

Huh? Not sure how you took that from my comment. I was replying to someone talking about a variant that was highly lethal, but not so contagious. Killing the host quickly is going to make it less contagious.

Saved millions of lives. Cost the economy. I can look at it objectively. I suppose you can't.
Fat man, old man killer. We saved a significant number of fiscal liabilities from falling off the balance sheets at a cost of at least like $7T. I’m not sure what a morbidly persons life is worth, but it is apparently a lot.

Me too.

One was morbidly obese.

One was a kidney transplant recipient.

One was 95 years old and on dialysis.

You?
Yeah. I know a bunch of people (mostly vaccinated) that died ‘with’ covid, too.

It’s kind of funny how if you just ignore all the winters of ‘severe illness and death’ Biden promised they leave you alone 🫢
