The last 5 wins have been on the road. Patrick Kane led the way with a hat trick, and he figured in all four goals tonight. After losing quite a few good players in the offseason and with the turmoil surrounding Kane I am pleasantly surprised at how well they are playing by mid-season. Legit chance to repeat.

They're such a fun team to watch-- their first line is incredible. They lose guys and just plug playmakers in like Panarin, who has rookie of the year locked up. They're kind of the Patriots of the NHL without all the cheating and drama.

I am finding myself focusing on Hossa more this year than in the past. As a recent convert to hockey I don't have a lot of research to go on for his career but they guy looks to me to be an extremely sound player. You can tell he has lost a couple of steps but his hockey game management is outstanding. I would posit that his greatest contribution to the Hawks is in what he brings to the team during practice and off ice time.

Keeping Hossa and Keith healthy for the playoffs is critical. It will be interesting to see how Q tries to manage their minutes late in the season.

I certainly wouldn't bet against them in a 7 game series, if mostly healthy at least.
