This young man is a very good athlete.
Doing well at the State T&F meet.
6'5" in high jump
22-5 in long jump I believe he hit 23 at districts.
Several future Hawks involved in meet but I don't follow recruiting close enough to know them all.
Has to be several throwers

The walk-on program has provided nice dividends for 20 years now. I remember reading an article in the 80s about a WR at UCLA who walked on and became a star. I thought to myself "how did all those college coaches miss on this kid?" I quickly figured out that every year kids fall thru the cracks and the best way to compensate for a coach looking for a competitive advantage is to find those diamonds in the rough. Do it often enough, and a program can elevate itself into blue-blood territory.

Blair Brooks is a get for a walk-on. Big, athletic, reportedly runs a 4.4 40, and a great legacy to boot. I'd love for him to become a household name.

Brooks was listed as a 3 star on another site last I checked a couple months ago. Great get for a walk on and You know He bleeds Black and Gold.

Prototype TE.

At less than 200 pounds I would hardly call him a “prototype” TE. My idea of “prototype TE” is 6’4’’-6’5’’ 240-250. Isn’t he around 6’2’’ 190 lbs now? Not sure he has the frame to become a TE.

He says since he is willing to pay his own way for the first part he gets to meet with the team early and start activities. His scholorship will start in Jan. He labelled it a "blue shirt".
