Blast from the past. the stand.

I remember being in the Vine on Gilbert when this happened and that place went nuts.

I like this Stand as well! Loved Razor Ramon, had a great game at Wisky. Tim Brando on the call, one of my favorites!

Wow, never noticed they missed the blatant illegal shift on that last play. Would have been reaaaaly upset if they had scored there. Incredible game, though.

Hard to forget that game for sure. It said a lot about the Iowa program, playing without Tate on the road, and the Hawks showed the pride and heart to secure the win. Then the rollercoaster ride of emotion the next 7 days for Mike Klinkenborg and his Hawkeye family. Elation, sorrow, pain, togetherness, unity, pride, joy. A week of Hawkeye football I'll remember for the rest of my time.

I was there. We left Iowa City in the middle of the night Friday, drove straight through, got there right before game time, then drove straight home. Ah college. Good times.

I was in the opposite end zone. What a great moment. Of course my angle was horrible so I just had to watch the arms of the official...

Klinkinborg !! Total team effort right there but I'll always remember that stop by Klink on 3rd and goal. Also, the PI call on Paschal was BS, the Syracuse player tripped, didn't matter.

Why Greg Robinson never called a QB sneak is still a mystery to me. Terrible coach. Robinson was 0-10, 0-8*, 2-10, and 3-9 = 5-37 (2-25) in his 4 years at Syracuse (*4 wins in 2006 were vacated due to academic fraud).

Robinson succeeded Syracuse legend Don Paqualone who coached there for 14 years with an overall record of 107-59-1 (73-34) but was fired after two consecutive 6-6 seasons. Greg Robinson effectively buried Syracuse football.

I was working in the wonderland known as Ames for that game, I stopped at a bar to watch the Iowa game, was talking to some ISU season ticket holders who were pre gaming. As the Iowa game continued to be close and ISU game time approached I asked if they needed to get going, their response 'f*ck that, they suck, this game is better' great fans. CSB.
