Blowouts mean nothing

Probably at least 85% of football fans are extremely ignorant when it comes to football.

Add in sensitivities to "nepotism" and "conservative football", and the narratives became infinitely ridiculous
So you are saying , you are at the minimum more knowledgeable than 85% of all football fans. Hmmm! Where did you come up with that number?😂😂😂

Blowouts mean a lot in CF as it gives the really deep - powerful teams a chance to play their backups and keep many of them for the next year

Just a rough estimate.

Most never played the game. And just listen to the shit fans say.

As for me, I'm probably somewhere in the middle of that 15%
It’s the off season! I get it we are all bored but you seem to try to spark fires from what we need to be dead embers while also sometimes accusing others of being bad fans.
It’s a weird cycle.
Sports Fan message boards are for sports fans to give their opinion.
I don’t agree with every opinion I read here but I don’t belittle people for their sports related opinions also.
Try to come off less abrasive I guess is what I’m saying.

Just answered the guy's question is all.

And no, I don't agree that all opinions should be broadcasted on public forums. At least, if they contribute to a negative environment that could potentially make the lives and jobs of Hawkeye teams harder, I won't appreciate that.

I want the Hawks to have the best chance possible to win. The role of the fan is to support, which can only help

Probably the same place where he came up with the number that he is in the top 3% of sports gamblers.

Edit: Oh, and he once said he was certain he could kick my butt, so he must be in the upper echelon in hand-to-hand combat, also. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

AGAIN, refer to the above links to have your recruiting narrative dispelled.

You grossly understate what happened by diminishing it to two injuries. The attrition to the O-line was significant enough to have left Iowa with zero lineman that were close to ready to play.

Recruited over? KF isn't a psychic. And even if he were a doctor, many players have come back from injuries. Was he to have just given up on Britt and Davidkov?

Recruiting over was never really KF's style and I think he gotten plenty of mileage out of being loyal to his players. The current portal dynamic didn't exist back then. Who was he supposed to have recruited over with? High school players that probably would have also needed some time to develop?

And the decision to have recruited over players certainly would have been

I’m talking about starting this topic of discussion to begin with, it really wasn’t necessary or very relevant to the struggles Iowa football has right now.

The role of the fan is to support
That's what you WANT it to be..............

You need to make that distinction when posting.

And we get that you've made it your life's crusade to champion this opinion to get people to buy into this notion, even though you know what we all already know, which is that fans will never reduce themselves solely to being supportive parents/cheerleaders.

Thanks for playing and not responding to me though. ;)

I don't recall saying anything about kicking your butt. Something similar may have been said, but I don't recall that.

Pretty irrelevant considering neither of us know who the other is

Starting what topic, the OP?

People on here bitch about non-relevant stuff all the time. So I will take opportunities to call them out.

What current struggles are you referring to?

Do better or disassociate yourself with Hawkeye athletics.

You are bad for Hawkeye sports

Blowouts mean your offense was dominant those days. In the football world or basically any other sport or anything in life I would say it is a good thing if you are putting up good numbers.
We haven’t seen that from Iowa’s offense in a few years, other than Kaleb.
I don’t have much for complaints about the D but we have big holes to fill at LB.
CB needs a bit more talent or time to learn but the CBs last year were somewhat easy to burn. Obviously we miss Cooper.
DL I think we’re ok.
On to the offensive side of things I could write a book on..
Other teams know what we are doing. That’s not a good thing and has hopefully been changed a bit by Lester.
OL doesn’t give the QB time on passing plays. They seem more comfortable just plowing into the opposing D.
QB history isn’t good recently We seem to be going after Big Ben types when we might need someone more mobile that can throw on the run.
I don’t blame them personally they just weren’t cut out for Big 10 football. I’m not either so I’m not talking shit, trust me.
I’m also not getting a few hundred thousand of NIL money every year.
Just typing my observations.
Iowa football has lots of potential but might get lost in the mix of the new football world if we don’t wake up to weaknesses.

No.

Don't claim to be able to read your mind though. And I'm not sure that I'd want to
You don’t need to have super human abilities to see the weaknesses of the team and there’s nothing wrong with saying it.
That is the purpose of a message board
Discussion on your favorite team good or bad.
