I hear Iowa lost another midweek baseball game to an FCS level school.
May need to spend less weeks practicing and more weeks trying harder to win midweek games.

I was saying why'd we lose to Bradley (20-31) and Western Illinois (18-27)?
He left a perennial playoff contender with a heisman contending quarterback. I doubt he would come to Iowa.

After a year or two off, I think Stoops would welcome the idea of retiring at Iowa.

I'm not going to pretend I'm good buddies with Bob Stoops like many of you seem to be, but I think we can all agree that it is rather common for a coach to hang it up early for personal/medical type reasons, claim to be very content, then return some years later. No reason to think Stoops wouldn't do this, and if he were to return, I would think Iowa could be on his short list.

Yeah, he paid his dues 20 years ago. Then he made a shit load of money for the next 20.
Iowa city is about as far from a pressure cooker as you can get. Its a fish bowl but you get almost no real scrutiny or criticism compared to any other job for the money.
Win 7 games a year and get paid as though you were winning 10. Its a pretty sweet gig.
