But is DeJong on scholly? They let DeJong return for depth. Note he hasn't started all season, even with Stephens out. Two guys are ahead of him to fill in for Stephens (Elsbury and Pieper).
Cause it would be ridiculous if he was.

Why? He’s a solid role player, just out of his depth as a starter. But is DeJong on scholly?

A role player???Why? He’s a solid role player, just out of his depth as a starter.
Now you’re just being ridiculous. He was adequate in short doses as a substitute but got exposed as a starter.A role player???
He's a walking/talking illegal procedure penalty the minute he steps out of a huddle.
So, everything is relative. You can't really say it's ridiculous that he is on scholly without knowing the capabilities of those who would otherwise fill his spot. I suppose you could argue that it's ridiculous that the state of the oline is such that there aren't any others in line to fill it that are capable of playing as well or better. But is DeJong on scholly?

Northwestern scored 14. Is this that new math I've been hearing about or is 14 still more than 8? 🤔Yes. Iowa wins.
NW did NOTHING against the Iowa D (first unit) all day. Iowa only needed 8 points to win.
That's what is worriesome next season. So, everything is relative. Yeah. I get that, but it's also possible that the advantage today between the starters and the backups is pretty thin. All things being relatively equal, they're more likely to go with experience. That's what is worriesome next season.
Good programs have some 2nd year guys contributing.
Hawks ...nope.
As previously stated, Pieter is a guy that’s been in the two deeps most of the year. Couple others I’ve seen listed as well. They’ve gotten time in the blowouts to some extent, but the starting 5 has been largely healthy so not as much time against the 1s in games. That's what is worriesome next season.

I'm inclined to agree. Barnett is hardly the weakest link on the coaching staff. Pass protection hasn't exactly been stellar, but run blocking has been solid. Why exactly should Barnett be fired now? OL has improved tremendously this year
I think we need to see what happens going forward. The oline was really rough before this year and is one of the most veteran in the country this year. The question is can they maintain or improve over what they've shown this season.I'm inclined to agree. Barnett is hardly the weakest link on the coaching staff. If there's someone on the staff I wouldn't miss, it'd be Budmayr.

I’m actually okay with the job done with the receivers overall this year, especially starting from rock-bottom like he is.I'm inclined to agree. Barnett is hardly the weakest link on the coaching staff. Pass protection hasn't exactly been stellar, but run blocking has been solid.

Certainly. He’s earned that additional year however.I think we need to see what happens going forward. The oline was really rough before this year and is one of the most veteran in the country this year. The question is can they maintain or improve over what they've shown this season.
