Called himself and I quote, "The best point guard in the country." Maybe the swag bag was not up to his high expectations and therefore he had to depart said premises.
Shit game. Well done peeps.
Are you grandpa's agent or Jordan himself?Jordon may not be the most athletic guard playing collage ball ( Captain Obvious), but name me one other guard playing this game that can match his 133 game starts, 492 field goals, 364 triples with a 40% shooting percentage, has 639 assists and over a 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. Oh, and also is 9th on Iowa's all time scoring list with 1,638 pts and counting.
I'll wait to see you're response......
He probably won't ever make an NBA team, but he's a hell of a player none the less.....nothing wrong with being cocky when you have the stats to back it up.
He speaks the truth. Bohannon is a darn fine college basketball player. Are you grandpa's agent or Jordan himself?
Yes but it's still fun to yank someone's chain. I have less of a problem with his skills than his arrogance and nil bs which is why I believe he's back. I think he's had enough eligibility and should have left after the tournament last year; the one in which he disappeared. He speaks the truth. Bohannon is a darn fine college basketball player.
Meh, doesn’t bother me one iota. He’s a capitalist and a good player. Nothing wrong with that.Yes but it's still fun to yank someone's chain. As long as he isn't poison on the team it matters little to me. Let's see how they do. I find it amusing that a 7 month old thread got resuscitated.Meh, doesn’t bother me one iota. He’s a capitalist and a good player. Nothing wrong with that.

Oregon was the better team 100/100 times, not that night. All Hawk fans were disappointed at the end results of the Oregon game, but as Fran has said, Oregon was the better team that night. Again, I'm not trying to minimize the results of the production of Bohannon that night as there were 2 other Hawks that also failed to show up in that game in Connor and Fredrick.
College Basketball has given players that played last year the opportunity to play an additional year because of Covid and Jordan took that opportunity.
Hawk fans may very well appreciate his loyalty to Iowa by the end of the season and I for one am glad he decided to return for his super senior season.
You got "depression" from a still photo? Uuummm, OK. Think how depressed he'd be if had a real job instead of playing College and Basketball for 6 years. Sounds like one hell of a gig to me.Any inside info on whether JBo has his alcoholism under control? Connecting a few dots over the past year or so, quite reasonably, would of lead one to think it's been a problem for him in the past.
To me, he looks depressed in his media day photos. Not a good sign. I hope it doesn't continue to be a problem for him
Wow, doc your incredible, diagnosing a medical condition from Media Days photos. How does it feel being all knowing, all seeing , any hints on the lottery ?Any inside info on whether JBo has his alcoholism under control? When you play for Ten years you can rack up the stats.Jordon may not be the most athletic guard playing collage ball ( Captain Obvious), but name me one other guard playing this game that can match his 133 game starts, 492 field goals, 364 triples with a 40% shooting percentage, has 639 assists and over a 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. I have a distaste for arrogance as well.....but it appears to me that JBO is just extremely confident. That is a fine line, but the difference I see is that JBO is openly confident without being a dick (arrogance) directly towards other people....and I think a team needs some of that level of confidence. Particularly a young team...I think they need a guy who projects that attitude specifically when going into big games, loud arena's, and facing some crude fanbases (ISU fans will be all over JBO-which might distract them from other players). It takes extreme confidence (and maybe arrogance) to want the ball in the closing seconds of a tight game by a player who KNOWS they are going to make the shot.....as fans it might be unrealistic for us to expect that performance and not expect at least a degree of "confidence" to go along with it.Yes but it's still fun to yank someone's chain. I have less of a problem with his skills than his arrogance and nil bs which is why I believe he's back. Not even close.
As long as he isn't poison on the team it matters little to me. Let's see how they do. I find it amusing that a 7 month old thread got resuscitated.
That's turrible as my hero Sir Charles Subway Barkley would say.
I did forget Oregon didn't play but I was at the game in question. You do remember that Iowa had to play a first round game just 2 days before the Oregon game.....right, and Oregon got off easy by not playing their first round game because some of their opponent players got Covid. If you think that didn't play into the final outcome think again.
Granted Oregon was the more athletic team and yes maybe they could have beaten Iowa 10 out of 10 times, but Iowa also lost Jack Nunge late in the year which could have made a difference. Anyway water over the dam, a new season is on the horizon and looking back to last year has nothing to do with this years team.
And maybe people don’t realize Connor and JBO were so sore they could barely walk.I did forget Oregon didn't play but I was at the game in question.
Oregon wins 100/100 times.
Baylor/Zags was our game at the varsity level with us being Baylor 😅kidding...
Seriously, we looked like a high school team, athletically, vs. a D1 big time program just like the title game.
They, including CJ, could have all been at 100%, it's still 100/100.And maybe people don’t realize Connor and JBO were so sore they could barely walk.
I strongly disagreeThey, including CJ, could have all been at 100%, it's still 100/100.
CJ would have helped but not THAT much, lol.
100 out of 100 is an incredible exaggeration…not even close to accurate. They, including CJ, could have all been at 100%, it's still 100/100.
CJ would have helped but not THAT much, lol.
Nah, I think after the 2nd or 3rd time watching his guards get owned Fran would have stopped letting Connor, CJ, and JBO on the floor.Oregon was the better team 100/100 times, not that night.
Not even close.
Oregon was no where close to the most "athletic" team Iowa played that year.I did forget Oregon didn't play but I was at the game in question.

Probably closer to 60/40.100 out of 100 is an incredible exaggeration…not even close to accurate.
Lol, who cares what happened next, they destroyed us. Not even a contest.Oregon was no where close to the most "athletic" team Iowa played that year.
Theres really nothing special about Oregons "athleticism". They got destroyed the next game.
You do remember that Iowa had to play a first round game just 2 days before the Oregon game.....right, and Oregon got off easy by not playing their first round game because some of their opponent players got Covid. If you think that didn't play into the final outcome think again.

I have a different perspective on Nunge....he was clearly the most mobile and athletic guy on the team that was 6' 9" or taller (I think he was 6' 11")....and he could therefore be a threat to block shots, rebound, and run the floor at a high level, which is exactly what we needed in this game. Would he have made the difference in our losing....no way. Would he have made A DIFFERENCE, I believe that he 100% would have.Nunge would not have made any difference---Garza put up 42 pts and was only one scoring. You can't expect better result with Nunge at Center. The other alternative, Nunge at PF the defense was even worse.
Garza and Weezy were about as good a pair as your are going to get at Iowa. Problem is the the other 3 starters couldn't score or play defense and were outclassed athletically.
JBo is good passer, good ball handler, and can stretch a defense, He also is easily taken out of his offense by a bigger/more athletic defender. JBO defense is about as bad as it gets for a PG, simply because he has two reconsructed hips and he is too small and too slow to defend the PG position whih is typically run by elite athletes on other teams.
Yeah it was embarrassing. Ive watched it quite a few times. Especially Bohannon.Lol, who cares what happened next, they destroyed us. Not even a contest.
Our game against Oregon was embarrassing and if you didn't see that you must have been watching a different game.
Which will make it interesting to see what they do with Bohannon and Connor(if he plays) this season. How does the team cover the issues that those two have when either, or worse, both are on the court?Yeah it was embarrassing. Ive watched it quite a few times. Especially Bohannon.
But it doesn't change the fact that Oregon was nothing special, athletically or otherwise.
No more athletic than the majority of the big ten or high major conferences in general.
Yeah, because every student that goes downtown and gets super drunk in Iowa City has a "problem". Jesus Christ man.Any inside info on whether JBo has his alcoholism under control?
