Showing 1983 game vs Michigan State and 2005 game against Illinois.
We lost both.
Fire everyone at ESPN, and boycott Disney, I say.

Probably the a**holes that ordered them to be aired........The good news though, is that other than some MSU and Illini dweebs, only about 2 other viewers saw these rebroadcasts.
Whichever one we lost by 10.....Wait ... 2005 in Champaign or 2005 in Iowa City????

You need to find the one where your students dressed as Iowa fans, then revealed the Orange Crush when settled in.Haha, don’t hate me, but I ask as an Illini fan. I was at that game, and the papers estimated there were anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 Illini fans in Carver. I have been trying to get a copy of that game ever since, wish I had ESPN Classic! Lol

That was the night Iowa played in the Orange Bowl, 2010 (2009).
Didn't even know we played a basketball game that day.....Ironic, eh?

I was there. It was cool and embarrasing at the same timeYou need to find the one where your students dressed as Iowa fans, then revealed the Orange Crush when settled in.

I had lost interest in Iowa basketball so much by that time that I wouldn't have been able to name one player on the team other than maybe Gatens, much less tell you when the team was playing.

I can remember exactly one time being overly excited in the Lick days. When Cully Payne hit the 3/4 court shot against Texas. Iowa was still down over 10 at that point, but I remember jumping out of the chair after he made it.
I still watched every game in those days, but it was as apathetic as you could imagine. You really felt bad for some of those kids. Gatens, Cole, Fuller, Johnson.
Me too. Though my memory is that shot tied the game at halftime, and maybe the game was in Kansas City? Anyway, Cole and the Hawks upsetting Purdue was a singular good moment (unless that was Fran coaching by then?).
