And my theory is that - especially in the post-Judaism abrahamic religions - they tend to moderate and get less bloodthirsty over time as any “new” religion is going to cause conflict. Islam being the “youngest” is still often problematic from a conflict standpoint.
That said HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of Muslims live peaceful, productive lives in dozens of countries across the entire globe so blaming an entire religion for being the source of all war is wildly disengenuous.
I've had the pleasure to be on one two times many years ago. The picture looks like it's had some upgrades or is new since I was on it.

President-elect Donald Trump slammed the New Orleans terror attack as a 'pure act of evil' and said an illegal migrant is to blame.
The whole Muslim / Islam thing here is my take:
1) In this current period of history, the religion of Islam is being most corrupted and used by evil people to commit atrocities for said evil people’s monetary gain so therefore it is hard to ignore the fact that much more terrorism is happening right now by people in the name of Islam
2) The people behind this abuse of the religion and using it to become authoritarian despots are not really any different than Putin or Hitler or Mao or insert barbaric self enriching ruler. Look no further than the people with hezbollah or Hamas enriching themselves. Or despots like Hussein or Assad or Gaddafi or Khamenei or the rest of those bastards in their opulent riches with the people surrounding them.
